Linking Arms: Recording with Trinity on Go Off, GRL
Go Off, GRL now available on SPOTIFY
Last week, I sat down with Trinity McCarthy — a high school Junior, athlete, mentor, musician, and fierce advocate for inclusion — to record the very first episode of our new podcast, Go Off, GRL.
And let me tell you… I left that conversation feeling inspired, grounded, and honestly? A little emotional.
Trinity is the kind of girl who leads with heart. She doesn’t need to shout to be heard — she leads by example. She stands up for her peers, especially those whose voices don’t always get the spotlight. When she told me about organizing her school’s Autism Awareness games, it wasn’t just about the event — it was about making students feel seen.
That kind of leadership at her age? It’s powerful.
But here’s what really got me: talking to Trinity reminded me a lot of myself.
Not just who I was when I was her age — but who I still want to be. Brave. Compassionate. Clear about what matters.
Girls like Trinity are exactly why Go Off, GRL exists. Because there are so many young women out there who are already rising — in sports, in school, in their communities — but they need space to be heard. To tell their stories. To own their voices.
And as I sat there, mic on, heart open, I kept thinking:
Imagine what we could do if we all just linked arms.
If we were kinder to ourselves and each other.
If we lifted up every GRL trying to do good in the world — instead of judging or competing or tearing them down.
That’s the vision.
That’s the mission.
And that’s what Go Off, GRL is here for.
🎧 So go listen.
Trinity’s episode is live on Spotify right now, and it’s one of those conversations that sticks with you.
Because when we rise together, we really do go off.
